Empower & Ignite Change. Pursue a PhD in Clinical Sexology

I attended the doctoral program at the International Institute of Clinical Sexology because I wanted to know as much as I could about human sexuality. In the process, I DID gain significant knowledge about every aspect of sexuality. I felt that my dissertation was a great accumulation of all of the aspects I have learned along the way. As a PhD, I will continue to hone my skills and knowledge of people and sex, as I feel being a therapist IS continuously learning and applying those skills. I am also going to get my dissertation project: the board game Kinkscene, developed and marketed to the general public. During the oral defense, questions arose about a version being used in schools to help teach sex education, that will also be in the works down the line. I am already envisioning other products in the “Kinkscene” line such as a “travel” version, etc. Having a PhD in sexuality will give me the credibility to back up my “products”, whether it is my game or myself.

I want to express my gratitude for the last 10 months of education, experience, and supervision received as a student in STTI. It has filled in several gaps of my previous education and allowed me to continue to grow as a clinician. I have expanded my private practice and feel this certification has played a large role in my capability to do so. I am so thankful for your knowledge and expertise and the diversity of the STTI students and what they contribute. Thank You!

As someone who has done a lot of post graduate training, I was beyond impressed with how the International Institute of Clinical Sexology is run. The knowledge, education, inclusion, current relevance, teaching, and accessibility went beyond my expectations! The students that I studied with were therapists from all over the world with higher training, who were blown away by everything that we learned. I am definitely a much better therapist because of it and really appreciate the Institute for their professionalism and support, as well as their commitment to the world in creating better therapists to service an under-serviced area. Hi Dr. Clark, as I catch my breath and begin to enjoy and digest all the life changing, lens shifting knowledge you fed us over the last five days, I wanted to pause to thank you once again. I have never been one to take anything for granted and I am surely not going to start now! One of the most special parts of journeying in the IICS PhD program for me is continually being humbled and honored to witness how you pour your generous heart into each class and each conversation. You provide a safe space for anyone to just jump out of nowhere to ask anything in the world to you!!! If ever you don’t agree, go take a peek at some of the class recordings and the veryyyyyy random debates and questions brought to you! Now that takes good marinating to be able to stay so present and not gasp in disbelief or scrunch nose and go huhhhh? Lol. You teach through example. Although I have a long way until my own graduation and limbo dance under my personal finish line, you sure make this a remarkable and not boring journey!!! Thank you!

Thank you for creating such an amazing Sex Therapy Certification Program. STTI exceeded all of my expectations. In fact, this certification has helped me tremendously into my Human Sexuality Educational Company, where I constantly educate clients on sexuality, as well as provide them with over 500 sex aid products & services all related to their sexual needs. I am grateful I found you and have had the honor of being your student. You are an amazing, loving, and giving woman…. full of knowledge and experience which you kindly share with your students in order to train them to be the very best within this field. I learned and continue learning so much from you.

IICS has transformed my career and served as the framework in the way I recalibrate for work, interact with clients, and perform research. After my late partner passed away, my life spiraled out of control. It took a leap of faith for me to go back to school, figure out who I was and what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Most importantly, because of IICS, I have been able to develop confidence as a professional and in my personal life. The networking among students is phenomenal. The infrastructural support from faculty is grounded in their expertise. IICS is an inclusive environment, culturally diverse, and extends internationally. Students throughout the world are able to attend online. Some of us who live within close proximity have the option to attend in person, online, or both. I look forward to the day I graduate and remain connected with those who have served as such an inspiration to me.

I would like to thank you for creating such an amazing Sex Therapy Certification Program. My original goal was to find a reliable sex therapy training institute where I could become an expert in the area of Human Sexuality in order to take my psychology career and business a step forward; however, I have to admit that your Sex Therapy Training Institute (STTI) exceeded all of my expectations. I researched many different training programs for the past year, but couldn’t find anyone out there that offers such an amazing course package deal for such an affordable price.

The course was very detailed and it covered the fundamental basis of hypnosis…it opened a very comprehensive world to me!! Dr. Batista is a very skilled, talented and kind professional, it was a great pleasure and my level of comfort as a mental health professional took a totally new approach!

I wanted to energize my practice and improve client outcome and satisfaction. I was looking for a training program from which I could integrate and further develop my professional skills. I needed a fresh outlook that was backed by scientific evidence and practical experience. I was fortunate to find the Sex Therapy Training Institute (STTI). I was familiar with some of the terms and the process of hypnosis but I had never practiced or had gone under hypnosis and I can see how it would be impossible to facility counseling without this information now. Dr. Batista is very knowledgeable and she is a joy to learn from. I had a wonderful time learning.

I have found the training in the STTI Therapy Certification course that Dr. Carol Clark offers, to be extremely useful in my counseling position. I have a greater understanding of the challenges patients/clients face, the treatment approaches, and how to address underlying areas of emotional difficulty for clients struggling with all areas of sexuality. Dr. Clark has provided excellent course material and has an extensive level of expertise that she professionally shares with dedication to her students and colleagues. I highly recommend this certification to all those interested.

The professors and peers in the IICS program have expanded my critical thinking and clinical abilities. Each class has offered me tools that I can directly apply to my future case load! The supervision has been extremely helpful is gaining experience and preparing me before putting it into real life application!
